Intermediate First Aid

Heart & Stroke’s Intermediate First Aid will train you, as a workplace first aider, in more comprehensive skills to enable you to provide a broader scope of emergency workplace first aid care to an injured or ill worker.

Employers and organizations decide on their first aid course based on their jurisdiction’s regulatory requirements, so before you choose a course to fulfill a workplace first aid requirement, talk to your employer or organization.

The main differences between Basic First Aid courses and Intermediate First Aid courses are the depth of content, duration of courses, time allocated for practicing skills and number of topics covered.

Below is a detailed list of the features of our Intermediate First Aid course

Duration

2-day comprehensive, instructor-led first aid course or a 1-day recertification course for experienced providers with current Heart & Stroke first aid certification.
